Why I Became a Travel Advisor

I didn't become a travel advisor because I wanted to sell vacations.

I became one because no one seemed to understand why we traveled the way we did.

We didn't always want to do everything.

Sometimes we needed to slow down.

Sometimes we needed to know where we could sit.

Where it was quiet.

Where the bathrooms were.

What a restaurant actually felt like, not just what was on the menu.

Whether something that looked easy on paper was actually going to feel easy once we got there.

The traditional travel advice didn't always answer the questions I had.

So I learned to ask different questions.

And eventually I realized...

maybe other people needed someone to ask those questions too.

That's why I became a travel advisor.

I don't want to plan the vacation you're supposed to take.

I want to understand how you travel.

What makes you comfortable.

What makes you nervous.

What you're excited about.

What you absolutely do not want to do.

And what would make you come home and say...

That trip felt like us.

That's the kind of trip I want to help you plan.
