Clearly... I Have Thoughts

I go places. I notice things. I have thoughts.

I have a lot of thoughts.

About Disney.

Cruises.

Travel.

Food.

Anxiety.

Quiet places.

Things I love.

And things I absolutely do not understand.

I’m not here to tell you what you MUST do.

I’m here to tell you what happened when I did it. What surprised me. What helped. What made me laugh. And what I would happily never do again.

Maybe it helps. Maybe it makes you laugh. Or maybe I just really needed to tell somebody.

Welcome to Clearly... I Have Thoughts.

There are a lot of them.

Maggie at a park in St. John, Canada.

Pick Your Adventure

I have never been particularly good at having just one interest.

So pick whatever sounds good today.

There is probably a story about it.

Disney

I've been going to Walt Disney World for most of my life.

And somehow I still find things to talk about.

The resorts.

The restaurants.

The rides.

The hidden details.

The things that have changed.

The things I desperately hope never change.

And all those little Disney moments that don't make it onto a park map but somehow become the things I remember most.

This is Disney through my eyes.

Cruises

I really like being on a ship.

Unpacking once.

Waking up somewhere new.

Eating approximately seventeen meals a day.

You know.

Cruising.

I've sailed Disney Cruise Line more times than I probably need to admit.

Disney: 29 Times

Virgin Voyages: 1 Time

I write about the ships, the food, the ports, the quiet places, the things worth knowing and all the little moments that make one cruise completely different from another.

Some cruises have been magical.

Some have been surprising.

And some have given me...

thoughts.

Food

I am very food motivated.

There.

I said it.

I will plan part of a day around a pizza.

I will return to a restaurant repeatedly for one specific dish.

And if I find something delicious, you are probably going to hear about it.

This is where I write about restaurants, snacks, unexpected favorites and the meals I am still thinking about long after the plate was cleared.

The great ones.

The disappointing ones.

The things I'd order again tomorrow.

And occasionally...

the things I would like to have a serious conversation with the chef about.

Because travel memories are important.

But so is lunch.

Travel

Sometimes I travel somewhere that doesn't have a castle.

I know.

I'm surprised too.

Cities.

Hotels.

Road trips.

Weekend adventures.

Places I've dreamed about visiting and places I somehow ended up.

I write about what I loved, what surprised me, what made me anxious, what I'd do differently and the little things I wish I'd known before I went.

Not perfect itineraries.

Not endless lists of things you absolutely MUST do.

Just what it was actually like to be there.

And, naturally...

I have thoughts.

Anxiety & Quiet Places

Going somewhere can be wonderful.

It can also be a lot.

The crowds.

The noise.

The waiting.

The uncertainty.

Sometimes even walking into a new restaurant can feel like a very big thing.

I notice the places that make those moments a little easier.

A quiet corner.

A bench away from the crowds.

A cool place to sit.

A little information that helps you know what to expect before you get there.

I also write about my own anxious moments while traveling, including the times I did something anyway and the times I decided...

nope.

This isn't about traveling perfectly.

It's about making going places feel a little more comfortable.

Tiny Tangents

Not everything fits neatly into a category.

I know.

I've tried.

Sometimes I notice something.

Sometimes I remember something.

Sometimes a tiny thought turns into a much bigger thought.

And sometimes I simply have something to say.

This is where those stories live.

The observations.

The memories.

The random discoveries.

The things that made me laugh.

The things that made me think.

And all the little thoughts that wandered off somewhere between Disney, travel, food and everyday life.

No itinerary required.

Just a tangent.

And I Always Have More Thoughts...

I notice things.

The food that was absolutely worth ordering.

The quiet corner nobody seems to know about.

The moment anxiety changed the plan.

The tiny detail that made me ridiculously happy.

And the thing everyone else seems to love that made me wonder, Am I missing something?

That’s what you’ll find here.

Real trips. Real experiences. Real opinions. Sometimes helpful. Sometimes ridiculous. Usually involving food.

I go places. I notice things. And clearly... I have thoughts.
