I went into three different bathrooms at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Three completely different bathrooms.
Or so I thought.
Because apparently, I had entered some sort of Disney bathroom time loop.
THEY WERE ALL THE SAME!
Was this déjà vu?
Was someone playing a prank on me?
Had I somehow walked into the same bathroom three times without realizing it?
I was genuinely confused.
Each bathroom had its own entrance. Its own personality. Its own signage.
But once I walked inside?
SURPRISE! SAME BATHROOM!
Stalls on the right.
Sinks on the left.
Same sinks.
Same lighting.
Same colors.
Same floor tiles.
Oh, those floor tiles.
Disney Imagineers, I have questions.
You did such a wonderful job designing the outside of these bathrooms.
Each entrance is different.
Each has its own unique look.
Even the restroom signs have personality!
So why, WHY, did you make the insides practically identical?
Was there a sale on bathroom tiles?
Did someone accidentally order 10,000 gallons of the same paint?
Was there a meeting where someone said, "You know what would be fun? Let's confuse Maggie."
Because congratulations.
Mission accomplished.
And here's the really concerning part.
I haven't even explored all the bathrooms at Hollywood Studios yet.
How many more identical bathrooms are waiting for me?
Four?
Seven?
An entire park full of bathroom clones?
I am both fascinated and slightly concerned.
But don't worry.
Just because these bathrooms look practically identical doesn't mean they are getting identical reviews.
There are still important things to investigate.
The toilet paper.
The flushing situation.
The air conditioning.
And, of course, whether I can actually enjoy a peaceful bathroom experience.
So let's take a closer look at each of these three suspiciously similar bathrooms.
Because apparently, my Great Disney Bathroom Quest has turned into a game of Spot the Difference.
And I intend to find those differences.
Even if I have to inspect every single toilet to do it.
Bathroom #85: Beautiful Outside. Vengeful Toilet Inside.
The Story
This is the first bathroom you encounter inside Hollywood Studios, and it has a very convenient, slightly hidden location.
It's also VERY busy.
People coming. People going. Strollers everywhere.
There are benches outside, but good luck finding an empty one.
Now, let's discuss the entrance.
It is beautiful!
I love the Mediterranean-inspired design, especially the colorful restroom signs with their decorative metalwork.
And those men’s and women’s symbols!
Simple. Artistic. Fashionable.
Even the water fountains have beautiful decorative tiles.
Everything works together perfectly.
Then I walked inside.
What happened?
The interior felt completely disconnected from that gorgeous exterior.
There was tan everywhere I looked.
Except for the floor.
And the crowds!
Women moving in every direction. So much activity. So much noise.
I was overwhelmed.
Fortunately, I found an empty stall.
Unfortunately, the toilet had other plans.
IT FLUSHED WHILE I WAS STILL SITTING ON IT!
Not a gentle little flush.
A full-force, surprise attack.
The water shot upward with such force that my butt cheeks got soaked.
Yes. I said it.
I'm sorry if that's too much information, but I promised to share my bathroom experiences.
And this was an experience.
Once I recovered from the shock, all I could think was how grateful I was that my kids weren't there.
That aggressive flusher could have ruined our entire day.
As for me, I dried off, washed my hands as quickly as possible, and fled the scene, vowing never to return.
Some bathrooms deserve a second chance. This one does not.
The Details

Nearest Landmark: Stroller rentals.

Crowd Level: Very high.
Anything Special: Beautiful Mediterranean-inspired entrance, decorative restroom signs, tiled water fountains, and benches outside.
The Official Ruling
Situation: Convenient but chaotic.
Cold Air: Nothing memorable.
Stall Situation: Got lucky and found one immediately.
Paper Situation: Nothing noteworthy.
Flush Situation: VIOLENT. UNPROVOKED. PERSONAL.
Noise Level: Overwhelming.
Smell: Nothing memorable.
Handwashing Area: Standard sinks in our suspiciously familiar bathroom design.

Final Verdict
Beautiful outside. Vengeful toilet inside.
I wanted to love this bathroom.
Instead, I left slightly traumatized and considerably wetter than I arrived.
My advice?
Skip it.
Use the much happier bathroom outside the park entrance, or keep walking.
There's another bathroom nearby.
And we're visiting that one next.
Hopefully, its toilet knows how to behave.
Bathroom #86: The Loading Dock Bathroom That Forgot It Was a Loading Dock
The Story
Can we please take a moment to appreciate this bathroom entrance?
I LOVE IT!
Seriously. Look at that sign!
I don't know why I'm so excited about a restroom sign, but here we are.
I'm officially a bathroom entrance fangirl.
This little hidden gem is located on Sunset Boulevard, the street leading toward The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.
It's tucked between two stores near a loading dock area.
And the theming?
Fantastic!
Crates everywhere. Industrial details. A genuine backstage loading dock atmosphere.
Even the bathroom signs looked industrial.
I was so excited!
Surely, this wonderful loading dock theme would continue inside.
Maybe some industrial sinks?
Some clever warehouse details?
Something?
NOPE.
I walked inside and immediately recognized my surroundings.
Same stalls.
Same sinks.
Same lights.
SAME FLOOR TILES!
Are you kidding me?
Another beautiful, creative entrance leading into the exact same bathroom?
Disney Imagineers, we need to talk.
But there was one very important difference.
I WAS ALONE!
No crowds.
No chaos.
No women rushing in every direction.
Just me and my suspiciously familiar bathroom.
And the best part?
NO SURPRISE WATER FIREWORKS!
Unlike Bathroom #85, this toilet actually waited until I was finished before flushing.
What a concept!
The bathroom was clean, the air conditioning worked, and I could finally enjoy a peaceful bathroom experience.
I did notice that the free tampon dispenser wasn't working and had a cute little sticker on it.
But otherwise?
What a difference a few steps make!

Anything Special: Fantastic loading dock theming, decorative crates, and a wonderfully unique restroom sign. Access involves stairs or a ramp.
The Official Ruling
Situation: Hidden, peaceful, and worth finding.
Cold Air: Working beautifully!
Stall Situation: Plenty available. I had the place to myself.
Paper Situation: Nothing noteworthy.
Flush Situation: Well-behaved. Thank goodness.
Noise Level: Wonderfully quiet.
Smell: Nothing unpleasant noticed.
Handwashing Area: Same familiar sinks.
Decor: Amazing outside. Copy-and-paste inside.
Companion Restroom: Not confirmed.
Overall Comfort: Much better than Bathroom #85.
Final Verdict
Fantastic entrance. Familiar interior. Peaceful experience.
I am still disappointed that the loading dock theme didn't continue inside.
Such a missed opportunity!
But after surviving the aggressive toilet in Bathroom #85, this bathroom felt like a luxury retreat.
Clean. Cool. Quiet.
And, most importantly, I left completely dry.
I call that a win.
If you're heading down Sunset Boulevard and need a bathroom, this is the one I'd choose.
Just don't get too excited about the entrance.
The magic stops at the door.
Bathroom #87: Tower of Terror Outside. Déjà Vu Inside.
The Story
Another Hollywood Studios bathroom.
Another fantastic entrance.
Seriously, Disney. You are spoiling me with these exteriors!
This bathroom is built right into a wall of rocks.
ROCKS!
It's spooky. Mysterious. Slightly unsettling.
It fits the atmosphere of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror perfectly.
And the restroom signs?
GORGEOUS!
Interestingly, they're very similar to the signs at Bathroom #85 near the park entrance.
But somehow, they work beautifully here, too.
To reach the bathroom, you have to walk through a tunnel.
A dark, mysterious little passageway.
Now, I don't like scary things.
So I was preparing myself.
What was waiting for me?
More spooky theming?
A creepy old-fashioned bathroom?
Maybe something inspired by the Hollywood Tower Hotel?
I walked through the tunnel, turned the corner, and stopped dead in my tracks.
WHAT THE HECK?!
You've got to be kidding me.
I HAVE BEEN IN THIS BATHROOM TWICE ALREADY TODAY!
Same layout.
Same sinks.
Same colors.
And yes.
THE SAME FLOOR TILES!
The ceiling lights made the tiles look a little lighter, but don't be fooled.
I know those tiles.
At this point, we're practically family.
There was one exciting difference.
Handwashing instruction signs sponsored by Brawny!
Brawny?
The paper towel people?
For one glorious moment, I thought maybe we were getting upgraded paper towels.
NOPE.
Brawny was apparently just there for the signs.
My paper towel dreams were crushed.
Again.
The bathroom itself wasn't terrible.
It was moderately busy, but nothing like the chaos of Bathroom #85.
The real problem was getting there.
That tunnel is narrow!
People were coming and going, and there just wasn't enough room for everyone to move comfortably.
And some people were rather pushy.
Nothing says relaxing bathroom visit quite like navigating a human traffic jam.
The Details
Location: Right side of the Tower of Terror queue entrance, tucked into a rocky wall.
Nearest Landmark: The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
Best Time to Visit: When the Tower of Terror area is less crowded.
Crowd Level: Moderate inside. Congested at the entrance.
Anything Special: Spooky rockwork, beautiful restroom signs, a hidden tunnel entrance, and Brawny-sponsored handwashing signs.
The Official Ruling
Situation: Hidden bathroom with an awkward, narrow entrance.
Cold Air: Nothing noteworthy.
Stall Situation: Moderately busy but manageable.
Paper Situation: No exciting Brawny upgrade.
Flush Situation: No surprise attacks during my visit.
Noise Level: Manageable inside. Busy tunnel outside.
Smell: Nothing memorable.
Handwashing Area: Familiar sinks with Brawny-sponsored signs.
Decor: Spooky and spectacular outside. Plain vanilla inside.
Companion Restroom: Not confirmed.
Overall Comfort: Fine once inside, but getting there wasn't particularly comfortable.
Final Verdict
Tower of Terror outside. Absolutely no terror inside.
And normally, that would make me very happy.
I don't like scary things!
But this bathroom was practically begging for a little spooky Hollywood Tower Hotel theming.
Instead?
Bathroom #85.
Bathroom #86.
Bathroom #87.
THREE DIFFERENT ENTRANCES. ONE VERY FAMILIAR BATHROOM.
Of the three, I still prefer Bathroom #86 near the loading dock.
It's quieter, less stressful, and doesn't require navigating a narrow tunnel full of impatient people.
But I have to give Disney credit.
They certainly know how to make a bathroom entrance exciting.
Now, if only someone would tell the Imagineers that the inside matters, too.
The Bathroom Mystery Continues!
Three bathrooms. Three amazing entrances. One suspiciously identical interior.
But I'm not finished exploring Hollywood Studios!
Are there more bathroom clones hiding throughout the park? Will I ever escape those colorful floor tiles? Is there a Hollywood Studios bathroom with an interior that actually matches its fabulous exterior?
I have questions. So many questions.
Follow along with The Great Disney Bathroom Quest as I continue investigating Hollywood Studios, one suspiciously familiar bathroom at a time.
Because apparently, I now have a bathroom mystery to solve.
