Bathroom #13: Unlucky Number, Worst Bathroom in EPCOT And Bathroom #14: A Little Bit Better
Excuse me, while I step over people.
The Story
This is the worst bathroom in EPCOT.
There. I have written it, and I mean it.
This bathroom is an absolute pigsty of a bathroom, and Disney should be ashamed that it is open and has not been renovated.
This bathroom is located on the top floor of The Land pavilion, which houses Soarin’, Living with the Land, and Garden Grill. It is to the left of Garden Grill, near all the benches and the carpet area where everyone is lying down.
Gross.
To get there, you have to maneuver around people sitting, sprawling, scrolling, and refusing to move. Even when you say “excuse me.” Even when you are clearly doing the bathroom dance.
No movement.
No acknowledgment.
Nothing.
And when you finally make it to the bathroom, you have to ask yourself one very important question:
Why did I even bother?
My kids, who are adults now, still remember this bathroom and the stress of it. There have been many tears cried in this bathroom.
It is very, very busy, and it does not handle crowds well.
The noise echoes. The stress multiplies. The whole room feels like someone turned the anxiety dial up to thunderstorm.
For reasons I will never understand, no one forms a real line for the stalls. It becomes a bathroom free-for-all, where the most aggressive person gets to go first.
The wallpaper is hanging off the wall.
The entire panel could be ripped off.
Nothing matches.
There is no style.
No thought.
No joy.
I have to believe someone is trying to keep it clean, but their efforts do not show.
Why is it brown and blue?
Trust me.
Avoid this bathroom at all costs.
The Details
Location: EPCOT, The Land pavilion
Nearest Landmark: Upstairs, to the left of Garden Grill
Crowd Level: Chaos
Bathroom Energy: Unlucky number indeed
Accessibility Note: Design makes this one extra inconvenient
Anything Special?
Yes.
It is special in the way a villain origin story is special.
This bathroom is stressful, crowded, outdated, loud, and deeply unpleasant. It has earned its unlucky number.
The Official Ruling 🚽
Situation: Absolutely Avoid
Cold Air Test: What Air Conditioning?
Stall Experience: I Regret My Choices
Paper Situation: Standard Disney Survival Paper
Flush Situation: Automatic Nightmare
Overall Feeling: No. Absolutely not.
Final Verdict
Worst bathroom in EPCOT. Avoid unless desperate.
Bathroom #14: A Little Bit Better
Right by Soarin’. So very crowded.
The Story
In the same pavilion, there is another bathroom downstairs.
This one is located right next to the entrance and exit of Soarin’.
And I have one question:
Why did they build a bathroom there?
It is not in a good location at all.
To reach it, you feel like a salmon swimming upstream. The crowds are intense and massive. No one wants to stop. No one wants to let you pass. You need determination, bravery, and possibly shoulder pads.
Now, this bathroom has been recently renovated, and it shows.
The design is much better.
There are vacant signs on the stall doors, which I love.
There is a two-way entrance and exit for the women’s bathroom. Most people go to the right, so go to the left.
On the left side
You are welcome.
It is also very pretty. I especially like the design on the walls. There are enough sinks, which should not feel like a luxury, but here we are.
But.
This bathroom is still a stress incubator.
I do not know if they pump stress hormones into The Land pavilion or what, but everyone always seems intense and unfriendly in this building.
This is a very, very busy large bathroom, and it shows.
It is a little bit better than the upstairs bathroom, but that is not exactly a high bar. That is like saying the second raccoon in your kitchen seems more polite.
Also, this bathroom can be almost impossible to get to if you are in a wheelchair. The elevators are small, and there is usually a large wait for them.
So yes, it is renovated.
Yes, it is prettier.
Yes, it has some good features.
The entrance to a little bit better bathroom.
But I still avoid both of these bathrooms like the plague.
The Details
Location: EPCOT, The Land pavilion
Nearest Landmark: Downstairs near Soarin’ entrance and exit
Crowd Level: Very Busy / Stress Tornado
Bathroom Energy: Renovated but emotionally complicated
Accessibility Note: Difficult access from upstairs; elevators are small and often crowded
Anything Special?
The renovation helps. The vacant signs are useful. The sink area is pretty. The left-side entrance tip is important.
But the location is chaos in bathroom form.
The Official Ruling 🚽
Situation: High Traffic Chaos
Cold Air Test: Trying Its Best
Stall Experience: Acceptable Human Conditions
Paper Situation: Standard Disney Survival Paper
Flush Situation: Automatic
Overall Feeling: Better, but still stressful
Final Verdict
Use only if necessary. Go left, move fast, and protect your peace.
Together, these bathrooms prove that just because a pavilion is beautiful doesn’t mean the bathrooms survived the experience. 🚽🌱
