Hollywood Studios Survival Guide: Ronto Roasters & The Secret Breakfast Hideaway
You are at Disney's Hollywood Studios and you are starving.
You woke up early to take a bus so you could rope drop rides… and somewhere in the chaos, breakfast never happened.
What do you do?
The answer is quite simple.
You go to Ronto Roasters in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
A limited menu but so very good.
Luckily for you, I have perfected the system and will happily show you the way.
Step 1:
Say good morning to this guy.
We mutually understand each other.
He is my favorite thing about Hollywood Studios.
Step 2:
Get in line.
Even if the line looks long, do not panic. It moves incredibly fast. These Cast Members are professionals.
Order the Ronto Morning Wrap and the Rising Moons Overnight Oats.
So tasty and messy! Well worth the hype.
In a park filled with churros, popcorn, and giant theme park snacks, my favorite food at Disney's Hollywood Studios is this tiny cup of overnight oats.
Which honestly is very different for me.
You will not be disappointed.
I also highly recommend the coffee.
Step 3:
Get your food and try not to spill your coffee.
(This has happened to me to many times to count.)
Step 4:
Look for a place to sit.
Step 5:
Panic.
The area is so very, very busy.
There are only a few tables and then suddenly it becomes standing-room-only chaos in the blazing Florida sun.
Step 6:
Realize there is a secret location to enjoy your food.
And rejoice.
Getting there is a little bit of a journey.
But don’t despair.
The reward is worth it.
When you get your food, head to your left.
Walk past my guy and continue until you reach the main walkway.
I had to add another picture!
Then turn left again.
Keep walking until you see a courtyard on your left-hand side.
That is how you know you are in the right place.
Now this next part feels slightly illegal.
I promise it is not.
Walk through the courtyard.
The courtyard is beautiful!
Go straight toward the giant doors.
Push them open dramatically like you are entering a rebel base.
Don’t really push them- they are automatic!
And suddenly…
You have arrived.
Cold air.
Empty tables.
Peace and quiet.
A breakfast oasis hidden in the middle of the chaos.
It’s only me, myself and I.
Proof that Disney magic is real: all of these pictures were taken on the same morning.
Outside was packed shoulder-to-shoulder and inside I was basically dining alone in air-conditioned glory.
All by myself!
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo opens its dining area early.
Yes.
You read that correctly.
You can take your food from Ronto Roasters and eat it inside Docking Bay 7 in glorious air conditioning.
And the air conditioning works so well that after a few minutes you begin to feel human again instead of like a damp washcloth wearing Mickey ears.
But the best part is the atmosphere.
Docking Bay 7 is such a cool and marvelous place to sit quietly for a moment. The ambience and attention to detail are absolutely incredible. It genuinely feels like you wandered onto another planet.
It is so difficult to describe this wonderous place.
Every time I have gone inside in the morning, it has been practically empty.
This is my favorite spot- I love how the chairs swivel!
Like… suspiciously empty.
One Cast Member sweeping the floor.
Maybe one other person.
That’s it.
Meanwhile everyone else is outside battling for tables in the hot sun while I am sitting peacefully in the cool air eating overnight oats like a tiny exhausted space traveler.
The ordering stations are blocked off early in the morning, but you can still grab napkins, utensils, and sometimes water.
And because anxiety makes me question absolutely everything, I asked multiple Cast Members if we were actually allowed to sit in there.
Every single one looked at me like I was slightly ridiculous and said:
“Of course.”
So now I am sharing one of my closely guarded Disney secrets:
Go into Docking Bay 7 before 11 a.m.
Cool off.
Eat your breakfast.
Regain your strength.
Prepare emotionally for the rest of your day at Hollywood Studios. 🚀
