Bathroom #32: The Hidden Canada Cottage Bathroom: A Disney Bathroom Surprise

It is so cute!

This bathroom surprised me.

And I mean really surprised me.

I was wandering around the Canada Pavilion on a very important mission.

Finding a Coffee Crisp candy bar to surprise my Canadian husband.

Priorities.

While I was searching, I decided to walk up to the top of the Canada Pavilion and explore.

And wow.

The whole area is so peaceful.

Quiet.

Calm.

Relaxing.

There was almost no one around.

For a moment, I forgot I was standing in the middle of a very busy theme park surrounded by thousands of people trying to ride attractions, eat snacks, and survive Florida humidity.

Instead, I was just wandering around, looking at the details, and marveling at Disney doing what Disney does best.

Creating little pockets of magic.

And then…

Guess what I found?

A bathroom.

A bathroom I had absolutely no idea existed.

Surprise!

And not just any bathroom.

A bathroom hidden inside a little Canadian cottage.

A COTTAGE.

When I showed my Canadian husband a picture of it, he asked me where in Canada I took the photo.

Not EPCOT.

Not Disney.

Canada.

So if this tiny bathroom cottage tricked an actual Canadian, I think Disney did a pretty amazing job.

The outside is beautiful.

Honestly?

I kind of want to move in.

Imagine telling people:

“Where do you live?”

“Oh, just a charming little cottage in the Canada Pavilion.”

Perfectly normal.

This is the kind of detail that makes Disney special.

Disney could have skipped putting a bathroom here.

Or they could have said, “It’s just a bathroom,” and built something plain, boring, and purely functional.

But no.

Disney built a freaking cottage.

For a bathroom.

That is commitment.

That is Disney magic.

The Story Gets A Little Strange

When you walk up to the door, you are greeted by beautiful flowers in baskets and a friendly white door.

It looks so inviting!

Everything is peaceful.

Everything is charming.

Everything says cozy Canadian cottage.

Then you look at the bathroom sign.

One sign.

A man and a woman.

So my brain immediately thought:

Okay.

One unisex bathroom.

And honestly?

I was fine with that.

Because once again…

It is inside a cottage.

Then I opened the door.

And surprise number two happened.

You don’t enter the bathroom.

You enter a little hallway.

I was shocked!

A very dark red hallway.

And I mean DARK red.

We went from adorable white and gray cottage…

to mysterious spooky red room.

It was a little unexpected.

Especially because I was completely alone.

No guests.

No Cast Members.

Just me.

Standing in a tiny red hallway inside a Canadian bathroom cottage.

Normal Disney Bathroom Quest activities.

But once I got over my initial shock…

I actually liked it.

And then I noticed there were signs.

A men’s bathroom.

A women’s bathroom.

Another surprise.

There are actually two bathrooms hiding inside this tiny cottage.

Inside The Bathroom

It is not the bathroom I imagined.

The bathrooms are small.

But not too small.

They are clean.

They smell good.

And most importantly…

The air conditioning works.

Thank you, Canada.

The design inside is where things get interesting again.

Surprise number three.

After the dramatic red hallway, I was not expecting this bathroom.

The walls are a yellow cream color.

The tiles are yellow cream with a navy blue pattern.

Then there are navy blue and white tiles.

Then more navy blue tiles.

There is a lot happening.

A LOT.

The colors are a little busy and they don’t completely match.

My brain was slightly confused.

The outside says peaceful cottage.

The hallway says mysterious castle.

The bathroom says we have several tile ideas and we are using all of them.

But honestly?

That is part of why I loved finding this bathroom.

It was unexpected.

And that is one of my favorite things about Disney.

There are surprises hiding everywhere.

Even in bathrooms.

Anything Special?

The location.

One of my favorite views in Epcot!

This entire area is the special part.

There are tables near the mountains, and it is a fantastic place to sit, relax, and escape the crowds.

It feels like a secret little corner of EPCOT.

And yes!

This bathroom is wheelchair accessible.

There is a ramp available so everyone can get up to this area and enjoy the hidden Canada magic.

The Official Ruling

Final Verdict 🍁

This is exactly why I started the Great Disney Bathroom Quest.

Because you never know what you are going to find.

Sometimes you find chaos.

Sometimes you find disappointment.

And sometimes…

you wander around Canada looking for chocolate and accidentally discover a magical bathroom cottage hidden away from the crowds.

Disney surprises are everywhere.

Even behind bathroom doors.
