Forget boring theme park bathrooms.

The SUPER NINTENDO WORLD bathroom at Epic Universe has pipes, underwater scenes, Mario details, hidden shapes in the tile, and even themed baby-changing areas. I came to use the bathroom.

I stayed to inspect the walls.

I don’t like scary things. At all. But give me monster bathroom signs, creepy sinks, black toilets, and some spectacular theming, and apparently I will bravely enter Darkmoor. With my child for moral support, of course.

From Darkmoor to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Universal packed its restrooms with incredible theming, clever layouts, family rooms, hidden baby-changing areas and tiny details I absolutely had to inspect.

Four Tuesdays. Four lunches. The exact same order. With all the restaurants at Disney Springs, why did we keep returning to Summer House? The Hobbs Pepperoni Pizza and Buena Vista Cobb might have something to do with it.

I visited the Via Napoli bathroom twice during the same lunch and somehow experienced two completely different bathrooms. At 11:30, it was cold, clean, empty and peaceful. Later? A line out the door, empty paper towel dispensers, crying children and chaos. So is this a good bathroom with a bad moment, or a bad bathroom with one glorious moment?

A bathroom emergency on the Disney Skyliner? Yep. It finally happened. Thankfully, I discovered a perfectly placed restroom at the Caribbean Beach Skyliner hub, right beside the line to EPCOT. Crisis averted, bathroom reviewed.

Hidden along the walking path between EPCOT and Disney’s Beach Club Resort is one adorable little bathroom that has saved my family more times than I can count. It’s recently renovated, wonderfully themed, usually quiet, and in an absolutely perfect location.

The newly renovated bathroom at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is finally open, and I am obsessed. Touchless doors, bathroom shelves, adorable beach-themed signs and gold octopus drain covers. Yes, octopuses. Obviously, I investigated.

There is toast at Ale & Compass! After far too many Saturday breakfasts without it, Dave can finally rejoice. The breakfast menu has changed, my Dark Chocolate Waffles survived, and breakfast peace has returned to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

I discovered the bathroom inside Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café and somehow managed to get lost trying to find my table afterward. The bathroom? Fine. The two different entrances? That’s where the adventure begins. Remember your color: red side or blue side.

There are pineapples hiding inside the Grand Floridian. 🍍 I found them in the tiny bathroom at Gasparilla Island Grill, along with manual toilets, working air conditioning, and a bathroom that definitely needs a few more stalls.

I wandered into Wailulu Bar & Grill looking for water and accidentally found my favorite bathroom at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Gorgeous tile, cold air, beautiful theming, and absolutely nothing for me to complain about. A bathroom miracle.

There is a little breakfast secret hiding at Steakhouse 71. Order the seasonal pancakes, swap them for Mickey waffles, keep all the seasonal goodies, and thank me later. I’ve tested this trick in spring, summer, fall, and winter. Serious research was required.

I visited all 16 Magic Kingdom bathrooms, and now it’s time to rank them from best to worst. From beautiful Tangled and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to hot, crowded and downright smelly restrooms, which ones are treats and which are tricks? The Tangled bathrooms are finally open, and yes, I cried. From the lanterns and hidden details to the companion restroom and incredible theming, this Magic Kingdom bathroom is proof that bathrooms can be part of the Disney magic too.

I almost skipped Fort Wilderness because taking a boat to look at two bathrooms felt like entirely too much effort. Thank goodness I went, because one bathroom nearly achieved perfection and the other was a surprisingly solid little pioneer.
